akjeWhy do so many people think there's a birth dearth? I'm not talking about these YouTubers; I'm talking about the natalists who prompted the videos in the first place. The pro-natalists seem to think the earth once had a zillion people which has now been reduced to 8 billion. So very wrong. The number right now is the highest in history. Never before in the 4½ billion years of Earth's existence have there been as many people on the globe as there are right now, this very second. The population is always growing; it never decreases significantly for any length of time, even when there's a major pandemic.
The problem is the carrying capacity's estimated to be about half that, so the quality of life for everyone everywhere has now been compromised by population pressure. Foolish to double the world's population on a planet with limited water, limited resources, limited job opportunities, and artificial intelligence replacing humans in the workplace. What's the result of that? Yeah. Unemployment, low wages for those who do work, poverty, homelessness, crime, war, genocide, terrorism, etc. And what do people do when those things start to happen? Yup, they emigrate. Flee to somewhere safer and more promising.
So now there's illegal immigration everywhere supposedly compromising the quality of life of the local populations. Personally, my life has not been compromised by immigrants in any way that I can fathom, but MAGAts seem to think their lives are being imperiled. Nutcakes.
Ironically, Donald Trump is an illegal immigrant. Every MAGAt is an illegal immigrant. Everyone in America who isn't a Native American is an illegal immigrant, but we don't talk about that here in MAGA Land. The illegal immigrant Trump is a felon, a rapist and a career criminal, dangerous to the safety and welfare of others, but instead of putting him in prison where he belongs, the MAGAts endangered the safety and welfare of all of us by putting that criminal in power, where he released a score of dangerous J6 insurrectionists and welcomed the Tate Brothers. Meanwhile, he deports undocumented by otherwise innocent immigrants to maximum security prisons in central America. Sheesh. (⊙.⊙(-̶●̃ₒ●̶̃)⊙.⊙)
If they truly want to increase the population, then why not just legalize all immigrants in America? They'd then be able to vote for Trump for a third term even though it's illegal, so he's shooting himself in the foot by building so much ill will. Truth is the real issue is not to increase the birth rate or the population; it's to increase the birth rate and population of far right white supremacists.
I should think a lot of good could come from a decrease in the population─higher wages as employers are forced to pay workers what they demand due to the labor shortage, lower costs due to fewer people consuming limited resources, etc. Of course, all those benefits will happen for the middle and lower classes, not for the greedy billionaires, so we can't have that here in MAGA Land either.
