Oh, woe and alack! The emojis have disappeared from the writing group forum. I never realized how dependent I was on them until now, but they sure let you respond to other posts without having to post anything yourself. I suppose it's an indication it's one step closer to the forum shutting down, but I can't find an online writing group for people who write adult books or litfic. Woe is me. (♯^.^ღ)

It's weird that we're still arguing about ebook pirates in 2023 in the Wacky Writers community. So many readers there insist that piracy is somehow beneficial to starving writers. The first few pages of a Google search show pirated copies of my books, yet I'm trying to remember the last time one of those robbers left a gushing review of my books on Amazon or Goodreads. I can't remember them ever posting about my books on Instagram, Twitter or TikTok. They've never made a YouTube video or done anything whatsoever to help my books go viral.

So just how are they helping me again? (♯^.^ღ)

Well, another one bites the dust. Sometime in June the Wacky Writers forum is likely to shut down due to lack of fundage. Argh. But that's an omen that I should move on anyhow. They've been talking about how they need to appeal more to teens, and I need to find a group for grownups. It's been so frickin' annoying having to censor our posts for perfectly ordinary words like suicide, anorexia, cutting, etc. How are we supposed to talk about our books if we can't even say the words? ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯
