Let's be crystal clear on this.

Republican is a political party, and I have nothing whatsoever against Republicans. My father is one. But like any sane person, he despises Trump.

Trump is not a Republican. He's a MAGAT.

MAGA is a cult and a hate group. A misogynistic, homophobic, white supremacist, "Christian" nationalist, anti-democratic, anti-woke hate group.

Woke, by the way, means enlightened. You know, like Jesus. Someone who believes in treating others as you would like to be treated. Egalitarian. Someone who believes that God does not create junk, and that all humans were created equal, with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness regardless of race, creed, color, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or personal wealth. The most basic human right is independence and bodily autonomy. Freedom from tyranny and oppression is somewhere near the top of the list too.

MAGATs don't believe in any of this. They consider the Founding Fathers of the USA a joke. Our forefathers quite wisely created the checks and balances system in our government for the purpose of preventing anyone from becoming a dictator, for America is the country that will not have a king, especially not a mad king. That was the reason for the revolution of 1775 in the first place, remember? Trump's Agenda 47 will weaken the other two branches of government in favor of giving the President more power, and this is the antithesis of what the Founding Fathers intended.

MAGA is therefore anti-American.

He's already begun the process by stacking the Supreme Court with toadies like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, who helped pass the presidential immunity decision, placing presidents above the law in defiance of the US Constitution. As any thinking American knows, if you need to commit crimes in order to do your job, you're doing it wrong. There's certainly no need whatsoever for a president to interfere with an election as part of his duties, so there's no justification whatsoever for the court to give a president immunity for that. Other than corruption in the court, of course.

There's still time to request an absentee ballot in most states in the USA, and you don't have to be out of town in order to get one. If you're legally allowed to vote in the USA, please vote blue all the way down the line. Harris won't have the power to change things for the better if she has to fight MAGATs in congress on every little damn thing.

If you don't vote in this presidential election, then you're voting for Trump. Older Americans tend to vote more than younger ones, and older people tend to lean conservative and are more vulnerable to conspiracy theories, so they'll put Trump in office because you didn't negate their votes.

If you vote for any independent candidate, then you're voting for Trump. No independent is going to win this election, so you're just taking votes away from Harris. If you don't vote for Harris even if you don't like her, then you're voting for Trump. Whatever you do, don't sit home on your ass and then complain later that he got elected. By staying home or failing to submit an absentee ballot, you voted for Trump.

If he gets back into the White House and you didn't specifically vote for Harris, then YOU put Trump in office.

If you don't like to vote because you don't understand the pending legislation on the ballot in your state, then check out BallotPedia, a nonpartisan voter help site that can help you register to vote, get a mail-in ballot, and help you understand what's on the ballot in your area. All legislation is explained in simple, easy to understand language. You can do this! ( ˆ◡ˆ)۶ ٩(˘◡˘ )
