Only 32 more days until WriteOn folds. (╥︣﹏᷅╥) (╯︵╰,)

Way bad for me... )

Omg here it is!!   Finally.   ٩(˘◡˘)۶

That hidden gem you were promised. Sorry you had to wade through a thousand mediocre books to get to this one, but at least you've finally found it. Good for you for not giving up the search early! So many other readers quit long before now.

So good for you! )

I want to sit at an outdoor cafe, one of those lacy metal tables, and wear a beret and a miniskirt, and maybe my burgundy sweater that matches the beret, and oooooh! A pair of those kinda loose-fitting, over-the-knee boots—the kind that aren't really leather but that really soft stuff...what is that? Well anyway, I can picture that material, and a lot of boots these days are made of it. Then I'd sit at that table in my beret, surrounded by a bunch of smart people who are drinking expensive foreign coffees and talking about Nietzsche and Emily Dickinson, and I'd be the stupid one but I'd feel my brain expanding just by sitting there with them. (ღ˘ᴗ˘ღ)

Only this is real life and I don't own a beret, and I can't afford to eat in outdoor cafes, and I don't have any friends, especially not smart ones. (-‸ლ)

I want to find a writing community where the emphasis is solely on literary fiction. I mean, even if no one there succeeds in writing it, we should at least be trying to. Every comm I've ever joined has focused on brain candy since that's what sells. Yet everyone there claims it's not the money that's important, it's writing what you like. So just where do you go to find people who like modern classics and want to write like that? (っ ºДº)っ

Amazon's fixed their search engine!

I searched for fascist America and my book not only came up this time, but came up on the first page. Latino protagonist also brings it up on the first page. Not many books of either. I wonder whether they've tweaked it or if I just did something wrong in the past, but anyway...I'm a happy camper today!

La la la! ☆*・゜゚・\(=^‥^)/・゜゚・*☆

Finally settled on a happy medium for the next book. Initially I was torn between writing a fictional account of the Titanic or the early Hollywood scandals, but decided to combine them both into a single series. I don't know what to call it yet, but it'll follow the adventures of an awkward immigrant named who comes to Ellis Island after a tragic incident in England. He's falsely accused of being an anarchist, so his family ships him off to an uncle in the states before the police in England can connect him to the crime.

In New York he meets a vaudeville performer who changes his life... )

About Me

Like everyone else on the planet, I'm a self-published writer. My latest project is the fictional biography of four-year-old Dorothy / Dorcas Good, who was traumatized by accusations of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials.
