Today a woman in my writing group said she's not a feminist, even though she considers herself equal to her husband. It's so bizarre when a woman says, "I'm not a feminist!" Actually, it's bizarre when a man says, "I'm not a feminist!" I can understand saying you're not a radical feminist, but everyone should be a feminist by now. Feminism is just another word for egalitarianism. What kind of person in 2022 is such a knuckle-dragging troglodyte that he doesn't believe in equality? Either you're a feminist or you're a sexist; there's no third option. Equal pay for equal work and equal rights for all should be a no-brainer. This fight should be behind us already. We certainly shouldn't have to convert members of our own team at this point in history. Argh.
