A lot of writers complain about the lack of visibility on Amazon, but it seems to me there's an easy solution for many of them since they write short stories. Either the latest issue of the KDP newsletter, or maybe it was Amazon Author Insights, said the best way to gain visibility is with more books. So I'm thinking those who write short stories could post their individual fics on Amazon for 99¢ (clearly marked as short stories since so many writers are selling whole novels for that price), then offer the complete collection for $2.99 or whatever. They probably won't sell any of those individual stories, but just having them there on the writer's book page should make the writer more visible, eh? And it'll make the complete collection look like more of a bargain. They could even group some stories into separate volumes based on themes, like all the romantic fics in one collection, all the fantasy in another, etc. I wonder if this would work? I seriously need to write more short stories. ＿〆(．．)
Like everyone else on the planet, I'm a self-published writer. My latest project is the fictional biography of four-year-old Dorothy / Dorcas Good, who was traumatized by accusations of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials.
